Vegas: To Go or Not To Go

Posted April 2, 2013 By: Urbwoman

That is the question! Help. I need unbiased opinions, please. My sister wants to go to Vegas, Mother's Day weekend, for her bachelorette party. First, I have to leave my kids with their dad for the weekend. Second, the cost for hotel and flight alone is about $600 + the $200-$400 I will probably spend there for drinks, clubs, food, etc. Third, I have a bill that I have been making payments on for almost 5 years. I have about $700 left. I did just sell some retired Silpada jewelry (I am a rep), about $600. Should I spend that plus more on this trip to Vegas (and not be the lame sister who did not attend the party) or pay off the debt and maybe give my sister $100 to put towards her trip? I don't know:/ I need unbiased opinions, please! I hope to hear from some of you, because I can't post this on twitter or fb, my sister will see!

As long as you have a written plan to pay off that debt, that you are still able to make the minimum payment, and that you're not incurring more debt by going, i say enjoy Vegas!!

Besides, you have only $700 left, you'll get that cleared in no time. :-) Enjoy Vegas!

Go to Vegas and share an exciting experience with your sister to add toward your 'fond memories' bank. That bill will be there. Enjoy your life!
